Goal and Objectives
To improve the health and nutrition status of the people in the CHT, including improving maternal health and reproductive health, reducing child and maternal mortality, and reducing the incidence of HIV/AIDS and malaria.
Specific Objectives
To provide a high level of health services curative care (including malaria), ANC, PNC, reproductive health, health education, EPI & FP in remote areas and in emergencies by mobile teams with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH & FW) staff, and provide technical and logistical support to Community Health Services Workers (CHSWs).
To facilitate the work of MOH&FW health and FP staff to provide immunization and family planning services on a periodical basis to eligible children, women and families.
To backstop the network of Community Health Services Workers (CHSW) by supervising the quality of services, supporting referrals in emergency and serious cases, and facilitating linkages for smooth functioning.
